i kinda wish i had a costume ready.. to join in the celebrations.. haha.. but well.. i guess that has to wait a little while longer..

but anyways.. i think i have a rough idea how to get it done.. another small prob would be the goggles.. but according to a fren, a trip to far east shld solve that problem easy =P
and oh.. did i mention? Yarong gave me this oversized cube.. which i totally forgot that she got for me some time ago.. hehe.. its so outstanding.. and there's even this uncle that came up to me after that and asked me where i got that from xD
so yups.. an interesting day today.. if only i could have more days like this ;)
I'm not feeling too well lately.. And honestly speaking, i don't really know why..
Its supposed to be a great time.. 4 days away from army.. been re-watching the 1st series of Naruto while practicing dizi.. while training my Monster Hunter on PSP.. And last night i was in the company of what i'd consider 2 of the greatest guys i ever know.. (ya know, the kind that i'd more than willingly intro to my girl friends.. cuz i know they're real gentlemens..) and we had a sleepover at Fun's playing MH2 all night..
Well, i've had what i'd consider quite a bad streak of luck then.. there were times in the game where one small mistake on my part equalled the demise of the entire party.. There was the Tigrex ball of Doom.. the Gravios fireball of Doom.. the Plesioth Tail Whip of Doom.. the Shakalaka cut which made me lose my Quartz Ore =.= but basically what really takes the cake is, after putting in 90 hours of gameplay into this 2nd version of mine.. my savefile got corrupted
Its the 2nd time.. i think the 90 hour mark is like, cursed for me.. cuz that's pretty much what happened for my 1st time too..
*sigh*
and i guess i'm feeling a bit of nostalgia too, cuz its Vesak day.. funny, how ppl think Vesak day is some Indian festival.. Actually, its a Buddhist one.. Trust me, i know first hand cuz i once typed a speech to explain what Vesak day was all about.. for a certain someone, sometime in the distant past..
I know its meant to be all behind me.. that i shld just forget abt it and move on.. but i guess, something like that for me, has never been easy..
Its been bad luck after bad luck.. I really feel like crying, just that i don't think i can.. I seriously hope all this things would just stop soon...

well, my dad's giving me mixed reactions about this.. 1st saying it's a gd option.. then somehow wanting me to pick up engineering.. =T
well, like i've said before, i just don't think i'm engineering material..
Anyways.. that's another option open for me.. and i think its the most promising one yet.. who cares if its not business? at least there's a chance for me to do a double major in business/econs here.. a much better chance than what the other unis offer..
And besides.. after talking to the uni ppl.. seems like SMU kinda caught my attention a little more =P esp since its much more accessable to my place than the western side..
7months to ORD.. it still seems like such a long time away..

Today was destined to be nothing else but a gd day.. ^^
Not even a lack of sleep, rainy weather or exploding expendatures could stop it.. The reason why? =P
I had 2 beautiful ladies entertaining me till the early morning on the phone. We chatted from about 11.30pm till 2+ about all sorts of sweet things.. and the same 2 who invited me this day for lunch at Taka. =D
The day didn't really start out so well though.. i stepped out of my house at about 11am, fulling meaning to get to Yishun on time, when no more than 100m from my door, the sky decided hurl a torrent of rain upon my path.. =T
i thought it was ok innitially, cuz i brought an umbrella with me.. but soon enough i realised the umbrella was really really too small, and my shoes were totally getting drenched partly cuz its not even splash-proof like my previous pair =X needless to say, the moment i caught a glimpse of a taxi, i immediately jumped at the chance to escape my misery!
well, i arrived at their place well earlier than i expected.. but fortunately, they were alr awake and getting prepared =P the rain stopped as abruptedly as it began, and the rest of the day was a sunny one =)
Oh, did i mention? i just got a hand-me down camera from my parents!! well, its not the top kinda quality considering phones now have up to 5 megapix.. but after being away from cameras for so long.. i guess its kinda a novel thing all over again =P here's a pic of the girls and their little sister (at Yishun MRT) who was dragged along with us since her exam in the morning finished and they couldn't bear to leave her at home xD
Well, i'm ok with that.. could start interrogating her for more info abt her sisters! bwahaha.. *insert evil laugh here* ^^
Here's at the restaurant at Taka.. not sure what's its called.. but i think i vaguely rmb seeing a sign saying "Family international Buffet". Hehe, sadly forgot about my camera's existance till after my crab encounter.. where i now completely understand why crab isn't a dish served on an European table.. There's absolutely no way to eat it with fork and knife! and even with hands, it was still quite a pain =X
(btw, that's crab on Amby's plate *shudders* go ask the twins if you want to know the rest of the story..)
Hehe.. This pic's of Adel after she tried a herbal jelly that's been passed arnd the table.. at 1st she claimed "its just bitter cuz you guys nv add honey la".. but somehow my camera caught a different expression from her.. haha.. does a camera lie? =P
Here's another one of adel with her dessert plate.. on the left is some coffee cup chocolates that all of us agreed was worth 2nd helpings.. that's some cheesecake in the center, followed by chocolate fondue marshmellows on the right =)

That was just the afternoon.. after we parted cuz they both had to work.. Towards evening, i even managed to meet up with Jinghui and get the long-awaited Dizi-s I've asked for ages ago =D *squee!!* finally i have a flute to play arnd with.. haha..
It was just a random thought i had while i was returning home, but there were lotsa co-incidences this day.. where lotsa things just worked out.. for example, the rain caused me to reach Yishun earlier, and the taxi seriously just pop-ed out of nowhere.. As a result, we reached the buffet in time, with 1 and a 1/2 hour before the end.. just enough time to comfortably finish lunch before they closed for lunchbreak.. (whereas if the rain/taxi didn't come.. i doubt we'd have eaten there..)
Also, we had time to snap some neoprints before they left! haha.. i'll post those another time =)
meeting up with Jinghui was also by chance.. as she just msg-ed me out of the blue saying she's back in S'pore, and she brought the dizi-s along too!! oh ya.. it was claire's bdae a few days back, and we even got a prezzie for her too!! this cute piano styled bag from Bugis, which costed us quite a fair bit.. at 1st we were wondering how to meet up with her to pass her the prezzie, cuz both of us were really busy.. but on my way home on the mrt, i decided to try giving her a ring to see if she's free..
She was =O
Haha.. was it mere co-incidence? or magic of some sort? =P
well, i'd like to thing there's some Magic in this world.. A magic that some ever-youthful, chibi-characters bring into my life =P
Oh, did i mention that Adel's taking art? and Amby's into adventure sports? ;) heck, even Jinghui's gd at dizi.. (jasmine, just met her today so.. xP )
I'm not sure if there are real elves in this world.. but if they are, I'm almost certain who to suspect.. =P

When i opened my letterbox, inside was a reply i've been waiting a while for from the universities.. but i can't say its one i quite like =T

Nopes, the reels ain't gonna show a jackpot, cuz SMU doesn't offer Mechanical Engineering.. But if it gives me a rejection letter.. its gonna be just as bad as having a single path shoved into my face =T
well.. i guess i shld be happy i got a place in the 1st place.. but well.. Its just blah!.. I had hoped i had better chances this year to get into business =T
So yea.. if SMU doesn't like me, the offer UNSW offered me seems really really attractive now..
