The spoils of the day?

But more importantly..

No wait.. WHOA?! o_O I was quite stunned myself.. cuz originally i just joined the competition for fun, just for the experience.. but then again.. there were only 5 other guys in the Male Category.. I was like a household name amongst the other FF:VII fans (there was this lady who came up to me, saying how she loved the Cid from the game).. And, i had a part of me just dying to do this.. =P so i was kinda like predicting what kind of questions they'd be asking me on stage..

Emcee: So, you're Cid Highwind? I'd suppose you'd have some sort of airship with ya?
Cid: Yeah! Cept' I'm afraid its a 'lil too EXpensive to park ma Highwind at the EXpo..

(crowd cheers)
Emcee: Not that I'd know any place you'd have parked it.. but anyways.. Where's your Party members? if you have any around?

[okies, from this point on... I was really on my toes.. cuz i hadn't anticipated this question, nor could i have said i kena pangseh-ed by my team cuz they went for lunch =X ]

Cid: Well, I guess they're pretty much out adventuring without me! Since i'm a little too high leveled for them all..

(The Emcee seemed a little lost for words at this point..)

Emcee: mm.. hmm.. well, that looks like an interesting spear of yours.. with all the intricacies here and there.. how did you make it?

[Another one.. Now, i couldn't just tell him i made that spear just by combining a Laundry Pole, and a plastic toy sword together now could I? so the only option left?..... Smoke your way through =.= ]

Cid: Make this thing? Naw.. I was fighting some high-leveled Boss.. and found this in a treasure chest soon after..

yes, those last 2 answers were spastic i know =X but well, i think it might have earned me points.. I found a video online that featured a bit of my time on stage.. it can be found roughly 2min into the video.. Here..

funny thing was.. although i did have frens there i asked to vote for me.. i only just realised they didn't have the time to.. cuz we were all busy posing outside for photographers while the results were being tabulated.. =P Not that it would have made a difference though.. The best female cosplayer (an online fren of mine, Seri) easily had twice my number in votes.. She certainly deserved it, doing a wonderful job at Youko from xxxHolic.. and when she suddenly cut the emcee off by asking "Do you have any wishes" in a very in character kind of way.. I swear i bursted out laughing at the resemblance.. =P

Anyways.. Cid, its been a fun time while it lasted.. Thnx for being my 1st Cosplay character, and i hope the future cosplayers who do you would have as much (if not more) fun than i did =)
