I wonder if dreams have any meanings behind them..
any significance or impact to our lives..
Last night, i had a very sweet dream again..
The bits that i remember of it, was that there was this party of ppl whom i met, and halfway into a discussion we came to a topic of some puzzle solving quest.. you know, those we get a clue, then run off to a place.. maybe finish some trial before rushing off with your next clue?
apparently, this scenario involved this party of ppl who had just finished an event like that.. but i would came later, didn't get the chance to participate.. Almost on whim, they gave me my 1st clue, and all of them went about sch to resume their positions, so that i could 1st hand experience whatever i missed.. at that time, i found it more touching they were willing to do so rather than awkward =P
My 1st clue.. It was sorta some number code, but i immedately recognised it as the Chinese Orchestra style of writing music scores.. and where i was meant to go was relatively easy to decern by looking for the opening notes.
Without knowing, i found myself in a lift headed towards a lab (my 1st station). Without knocking, i entered the lab, and found a girl half-changing inside.. yes, its awkward mentioning this i know.. but that girl.. that girl was actually someone i know in real life (not some ficticious char i dreamt out)..
Gentlemenly, i walked out of the room.. and sat outside with my back facing the door till she was done.. she opened it shortly after with a smile saying "Thank you", dressed in more casual P.E attire.. and welcomed me in..
The rest of the dream was a blur.. but i believe it involved me solving the question she put forth to me quite easily.. and i received a scoresheet with the piano-styled notes as my next clue.. with that alone i was pretty sure i managed to identify all the other stations i needed to go to, and in which order.. such that the girl exclaimed "No fair! why weren't you on my team earlier!" in a cute manner.. =P
well, that's all to the dream i rmb.. but not the end of my story..
This evening, after an irritatingly morning shift in an environment of time-wasting tasks.. my mind drifted to this dream, as i contemplated each detail about it on my way home..
guess what?
like the co-incidence you only get in movies, i met that exact same girl in the underpass... =X
do dreams really have meanings i wonder......
Well.. since i'm online, and i've been spending the last few days of freedom watching anime, i might as well post this..
http://misshallelujah.livejournal.com/327319.html?style=mine
Its about the anime Gundam 00, which although has alr finished its 1st season, i'm still missing out of the last few episodes cuz i hadn't had the time to find some nice ppl T_T
anyways, the review was done by a fren's older sister.. (Coco's =P ) and if i had read it sooner, i would probably have been hooked on the series sooner, and thus die week after week in anguish waiting for a new episode (thank goodness i didn't then? =O )
anyways.. for those who don't know a thing about Gundam 00.. i reccommend sparing some moments of your time going through her review =)
After all, What would gundam do? xD
What's the difference between Peasants, and Kings..
hmmm... i wonder too..
In the manga "Ouran High Sch Host Club", Its partially this area where quite a bit of humour comes about.. but in real life, well.. it can be an entirely different thing entirely..
but in the end, comparing spending $200 on a single shirt, or on some digital devices.. digital device would get my pick anytime.. i mean, well.. i know some ppl are picky about their clothes, but i guess i wouldn't spend that kinda money unless i absolutely have no other choice (not like i have the $$ to spare anyway.. =P )
So the high-end life? i guess i experienced it a little today.. following an AC guy arnd town area.. its a whole new world really.. but there's no way i can live such a lifestyle till i'm earning more than my keep.. which probably won't happen anytime soon.. hehe.. is this how an aristocrat feels i wonder?
Anyways.. i caught another movie this weekend.. with pretty much the same group of ppl.. Hehe, the movie now is "The Forbidden Kingdom".. 2 weeks ago, we were pretty much "WTF?" at the trailer we saw waiting for Three Kingdoms to start.. at first i imagined it to be some rip-off american kung-foo movie.. turns out to be something exactly like that, but with alot more humour.. =P
Hmm.. what to expect? english speaking chinese ppl.. the usual chinese fights inside restaurants.. a villian who looks like an Xmen, with some super commercial hair =P .. some lame dota references (MKB.. lol) and i guess some badly translated chinese proverbs and more lame scenes.. Still.. its really worth a watch if you just wanna relax and catch a simple movie.. 3.5 / 5 stars on my ratings =)
So that's my weekend.. only 2 little regrets, one was not dropping by paragon sooner, cuz i met an old fren working there =P the other well.. can wait a little while i guess.. haha.. =D
Okies.. Ytd was the most i've ever spent on a single taxi ride.. as well as the most i've spent in a single day on taxis..
mainly because of a $26 trip from my place to clementi, in the early morning when traffic is horrible..
worst part is.. i was in uniform, and it started to rain too on my way out..
i seriously hate uniforms now..
Anyways.. I had an SMU interview today.. kinda scary.. maybe cuz i haven't acted in a while =P i wasn't even sure what to turn up in.. or what questions to anticipate..
Guess what?
It rained again =.= TMD!! but at least this time wasn't so bad.. cuz it only started when i stepped out of the MRT.. its times like these where you wonder about economics.. and whether someone out there has analysed the effects of rain on the sales of umbrellas.. ( o_O yea.. that thought nv really crossed my mind till today.. )
So the outcome of the interview? lets say it was Disasterrific!
one part disaster.. one part terrific.. my bro tried helping me predict what sort of questions they'll be asking.. but i couldn't be bothered to pay them more than a moment's glance.. turns out it wasn't any difference, cuz there's no way anyone could have predicted their question coming out.. But the gd thing is, i guess i was more comfortable with a random question, cuz the other candidates couldn't have prepared for that either xD
What would your reaction be to "S'pore has banned Chewing gum.. now there has been word whether should they ban Cha Kuey Tiao too?"
mine was "Wtf? dem.. that came out in the news??! why didn't anyone tell me =X "
i shld have noticed the atmosphere a little more though.. cuz apparently now that i think back, it might've been a random question to smoke us =.=
Well.. after sprouting ideas such as consumer choice (and smoking as a comparison for other unhealthy choices), Kuey Tiao as a cultural identity (as compared to casinos or ferris wheels which other countries alr have..) , the effect it would have on local businesses, as well as other stuff.. its kinda awkward that your admission into uni depends on such a odd question =T
Well.. guess there's nothing more i can do but wait for a Acceptance or Rejection letter.. which according to liz, could happen anytime from 1 week to 4 weeks..
Now that kinda reminds me of a phrase somewhere..
"April is the cruellest month.."
CRUELLEST MONTH!!
Haha.. some interesting things happened this week..
1st off, Wednesday! met Ally-cat who came back to S'pore for a week, along with Coco and Hazel.. was quite a fruitful event, even though i was dem tired from my morning activities.. well, that was one of my precious annual leave spent =P
We had lunch at Ajisen Ramen.. like the 2nd time i ate there in the week.. hehe, i ordered the same Vegetable ramen, and had the same looks given to me at the table.. "Why the heck did you order that?! you're not even vegetarian".. *shrug* maybe a few months of turning vegetarian might be good for me =P
after that we roamed arnd Kino for a while.. could tell that Ally had a bit of things on her mind, even though i don't really know her that well.. only from the occasional msn chats, and the description i've given of her every now and then.. if only i knew her better, perhaps there'd be something i could do to help..
Anyways, we sat at Coffee club for a spell after that.. its kinda sad being sick, and trying your best not to infect other ppl (such as busy university lvl students =X ) well.. that's another 1st experience for me, cuz i hardly ever patronise such places before due to financial constrictions xD .. haha.. after chatting and drinking for a while, i guess i was sorta the culprit who catalysted the random song playing session with my psp.. jovi soon followed, as well as yarong.. not too sure if ally didn't have songs to play, or was purposely more mindful of the other patrons and telling us to hush the volume =P hehe.. overall i guess i can imagine what i missed out after leaving AC..
----------------------
Yesterday, went out with JingHui and her brothers.. ya know, i've been having this itch to go play DDR-supernova for quite a while, but since the one at douby is always crowded with players, i was wanting to drop by jurong point to try the arcade there instead.. Guess what? after wandering with jing and her bros for a while at IMM (as well as finding out both of them play Monster Hunter xD ), we decided to catch a movie at BoonLay GV.. 3 Kingdoms.. While waiting for the late night movie to start, i noticed this guy-girl pair on the machine playing, and 1-credit flashing on the screen.. here's the thing, for supernova, 1 credit is all it takes for 2 players to play together.. when the girl suddenly used their card to tap another 2 more credits into the machine, i realised they must have been oblivious to this part.. being the kind soul (and seeing how beginner difficulty didn't seem to suit the girl), i stepped in to offer some sagely advice =D guess what? i was sorta rewarded cuz for the next 2 credits, the guy who seemed a little turned off by the game, left the girl in my care.. so i got to play 2 rounds for free! lolz.. was a little rusty, and was sweating like free after that.. but its been a while since i had fun like that =)
3 Kingdoms was quite a decent movie.. wasn't quite what i expected, cuz i only know a handful of characters from the entire story.. the story revolves around this character Zi Long, from when he enlisted into the Shu army, till he became one of their 5 leading generals and eventually his fall.. some of the scenes were very touching, even though they may be represented simply.. like the concepts of brotherly bonds, and the acts of selflessness for the greater good. another plus point was the company i was watching it with.. us 3 guys have experienced army (though jing was at the side wondering what "stand-by area" or "guard-duty" meant ) and we found humour in relatively normal scenes.. sry to all the other audience who were wondering wtf was wrong with us! xD
So yups.. that was my week.. so much for saving up this month, in a single week, i pretty much made up all the ground i lost in spending =X
